castle Socerb

At the beginning of our trip, we can go to the castle Socerb. It now operates a restaurant. City to be constructed in the 13th century and from its platform clearly see the entire Gulf of Trieste and Koper. Near the castle is a cave that you can later visit.

Saint cave

As we visited the Socerb castle, now can we go to the Holy Cave. It is the only underground church in Slovenia. Saint cave they call it because to be in it according to legend, lived Trieste martyr, saint Socerb to be lived in the 3rd century. In the first part of the cave reached by stone stairs. hill Slavnik

After visiting the castle we can go to the hill Slavnik, which is 1028m high. the highest point in the municipality of Koper and a popular destination for mountaineers from Koper Littoral. From the summit there is a wonderful view of the Gulf, the view extends even to Venice, distant Dolomites and the Julian Alps and the surrounding high karst plateau. Church of Saint Helena

The village of oak-wood( hrastovlje)

Hrastovlje located in the municipality of Koper, on the northwest edge of the Slovenian Istra under the Karst edge. The village is known for its frescoes of the local church, named Dance of Death.
